Self Cleaning Oven Day 199

It`s such a blessing to have this time of unemployment to leisurely do those chores that we so often put off; I`m the queen of procrastination! Today I sorted through piles of papers and stuff that seem magnetized to my dining room table top. It`s a good thing that we have a huge counter top, to eat at daily.

As I rediscovered the top of my table, I was also cleaning the oven. Years ago, before the invention of self-cleaning ovens, this multi-tasking would not have been possible. I remember oven cleaning of days gone bye, with long rubber gloves and lot of elbow grease; with nasty baked on grease going everywhere. Of course, right in the middle of this messy disaster, your nose would itch demanding to be scratched!

Thank you, God for the people that perfected self-cleaning ovens; simply select the clean button, step aside and in a few hours your oven is shiny clean.

It occured to me that God works much in the same way, cleaning our minds, bodies and souls if we simply select the engage Godly wisdom button. If you haven`t located that feature on yourself, start with prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God`s will for you in Christ Jesus.

God wants to restore us to the perfect image of His son, Jesus. It`s His desire to have a personal intimate relationship with each and everyone of His magnificent creations. He wants us to be shiny cleans just like our ovens, clean and prepared to provide spiritual delights for ourselves, our families, our friends and for the world.

Matthew 5 :14-16 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden, Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
