Rock Hall Maryland Day 207

The tranquil unspoiled waterfront eastern shore town of Rock Hall, MD proclaims; Happy is the nation who`s god is the Lord, from the lawn of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Sounds like the kind of town the embraces God; today I have an interview with Reverend Drew Christian.

Rev. Drew pastor`s 3 churches in his charge, they are in need of an associate to fill the position that will be vacated by retiring 87 year old, associate Pastor Bill. They would prefer a pastor or someone with Methodist leadership training, but are open to hiring the right person with the right spiritual gifts and talents, that God sends their way.

With resume and letter of introduction, I eagerly sat down with Rev. Drew, to present the gifts and talents that I could bring to this delightful community of faith. Even though, I am lacking official Methodist training, Rev. Drew appeared to be impressed with what he saw and heard. However, mentioning the he has 5 very good applicants to select from.

My body flooded with excitement, as the possibilities of this position truly seemed within reach. Rev. Drew`s faith, flexibility and willingness to trust God to supply the right person added a sense of peace, joy and God-given confidence to the interview.

Today was the first step of the hiring process, within the next month, I will be called to a second team interview. At this time, as in today, I will have friends, family, neighbors and anyone I can persuade to pray for me during this next hiring step.

Only God knows the plans that He has for me, I may or may not get this job, my faith will sustain me through this hiring process! I did share with Rev. Drew, that when I was closing my Curve`s franchise, when people asked the question, what are you going to do now, my response was, "I going to work for God."

I would appreciate your prayers!

Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
