Grateful Heart Day 205

After yesterday, today was a welcomed slow down day, allowing me the time to reflect on the past month or so. If you have been following this daily blog, from my post on day 180 and 184, I have shared the blessings of love that I received from the folks at the Healing Ministry at Kent Island United Methodist.

Last week when my friend Pam and I visited their Thursday night study group, I received an incredible gift from my mentor friend Jackie. She presented me with a copy of School of Healing Prayer Facilitator`s Manual. She also copied and recorded CD`s and DVD`s for the entire Level 1 of MacNutt`s School of Healing Prayer. What a gift, Jackie is a true disciple of Jesus, she spent hours and hours preparing these training tool for me.

Luke 10:8-8 "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, "The kingdom of God is near you."

I could have spent the entire day watching these training DVD`s, but I know that Rick expects me to do something more constructive. Not to mention being his resident nurse. He seems to being doing better manoeuvring on his crutches.

If only Rick knew what a burning fire of desire I have to learn and share. So many of us are damaged, hurt and broken. In depth spiritual healing is the beginning of the healing process.

I thank God for taking me by the hand, gently leading me to my new friend and mentor, Jackie. I know she is only an email or a phone call away! Jackie is in her late seventies, I can only image the number of lives that God has used her to lovingly touch. It is my prayer that God will allow and bless me, to follow in Jackie`s footsteps. Amen!

1 Corinthians 12 27:28 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all, apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gift of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

  1. You said something that we have stressed at our Tuesday Night Men in Christ meeting. " In depth spiritual healing is the beginning of the healing process." First of all healing has to take place on the inside. It is amazing what is shared in our meetings and the hurt that is within some of these guuys. Thank God for the deep fellowship we can have in a small group setting where guys can open up. There, healing can begin.
