Daddy Day 200

Twenty nine years ago this week, my mother, brothers Ernie and Danny, sister Joyce and I stood at the grave side as we laid to rest,my father George B"Chappy" Frazer.

Daddy was born on March 14,1914, to a family with 5 daughters, I can imagine the excitement, finally a baby boy. My mom always said, "the sisters"they spoiled your father from day one! Isn`t that what God plans for our lives,to be spoiled and drenched in love.

Psalms 144:12 Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughter will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Maybe, mom missed the beauty of "the sister`s love?? Sorry mom!

My brother, Ernie just called from Kentucky, just to chat. I told him what I was writing about. Together our memories flashed back and we share the vision of the final days of daddy`s earthly days.

All most 3 decades ago, the family of "Chappy" Frazer stood at his bedside preparing ourselves for that final farewell. It wasn`t until Ernie and wife Peggy arrived from Kentucky that daddy was ready to "Go Home".

Daddy, asked Ernie and Danny to take care of "his girls" and passed from this earthly life, during the night as his family slept peacefully, at home in their beds. Amen!

2 Kings 20: 1 In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die;you will not recover".
