What a busy morning, filled with shared prayers, first Lori, then Pam, Sandy and Debbie. Morning prayers where filled with normal everyday stuff, until my conversation with Debbie;in the course of our conversation, she reminded of her friend Karen`s son.
Debbie first introduced me to Karen, as she was working on a fundraiser in support of a friends daughter, that recently died from cancer. Several years later Karen and her family are now facing the same challenges that she help her friend get through.
Karen`s young college age son, Joseph was diagnosed a rare form of bone cancer, Metastatic Ewing`s Sarcoma. Joseph has gone from an active baseball loving athletic college student, to a cancer patient, at bat for his life. He attended college on a baseball scholarship; continuing in his major, Kinesiology and a graduate degree in Biomechanial Engineering.
Debbie has taken it upon herself to support her friend`s son with prayer request. Debbie has baseballs that Joseph used, in his healthy baseball batting practice days, she is requesting that people sign the ball and agree to lift Joseph and his family up in prayer. Praying for God`s greatness to come through as Joseph faces the game of his life.
I`m assuming, that you read this blog because of your love for God and how prayers effect our everyday lives. This is where I need your help; visit http://www.stepuptotheplateforjoseph.com/ read all of his story. If you feel lead, please pray for Joseph, remember God does`nt expect us to be perfect, He just expects us to be faithful.
I spent time today lifting Joseph and his family up to our Heavenly Father in prayer. I`ve never met Joseph, but I personally know the pain that he and his family are facing. Please pray to God for Joseph.
I welcome your prayers and comments. It will be a blessing to put your initials on the ball that I have for Joseph, then send it to him. Please pray!!!!!!!!!
Ephesians 3:20-21 "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be all the glory in the church and in Jesus Christ throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
