Martin Day 227

Yes, I finally got my closest cleaned out, I have way too much stuff! Off to Clauvaux Farm, they have a resale barn for donations. I was greeted by Martin one of their current residents, that receives great joy from his job organizing "The Barn."

Today I spent quality time with Martin, I have seen him at our church, he has recently joined our praise band. Martin is so delightful to watch as he shares his God-given musical talents; his face is aglow with the light of Jesus. Until today I didn`t even know his name.

Martin was in need of someone to talk with today, I thank God that I was blessed to be in just the right place, at just the right time. I listened as he poured out his pain-filled heart to a stranger; but a sister in Christ.

I can only image of devastation of being homeless and depressed, as we approach this season of Thanksgiving and the Birth of our Savior. I tried to assure Martin that he is a cherished child of God, loved, treasured and here on earth for the Glory of God. I thank God for the gift of love, as I mentored his "temporarily" lost sheep.

Martin invited me inside the barn to show me the blessings of his labors. What a great job of sorting and organization. God allowed this time for continued conversation and encouragement; tears flowed from Martin`s eyes as he shared his overwhelming distress. Patiently, I listened allowing the Holy Spirit to prompt my comments.

Prayer was defiantly in order, Martin and I shared a God-directed hug of love and compassion! There was a twinkle in Martin`s eye as we parted! Thank you, God for allowing me to be a blessing!

Psalm 32:10 Many are the ways of the wicked, But the LORD`S unfailing love surrounds the man who trust in Him! Amen!!!!!!!!

Off for the rest of the weekend to serve on team for "Walk To Emmaus," I am so excited! Back at the keyboard on Monday; blessings, have a fantastic weekend!
