Time, the duration of all existence, past, present and future: do we make good use of our time? Absolutely, we are now the generation of multi-taskers! How`s that really working for you? Do you spend quality time with family, friends and God; enjoying a life of peace and joy?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
The Bible sums time up, I remember a song from the sixties, by the Byrds, "Turn, Turn" little did I know where their words originated. Thank you God, for capturing my attention with your words, so many years ago. Music does seem to connect us to our past!
Time, what have I done in the past three months of unemployment? I`ve enjoyed my husband`s company, most of the time; little did I know that he would be off with me, because of his injuries and surgeries. I`m not a great nurse, nor is he a great patient! But we have truly made the best of it. I suppose God knew about Rick`s surgeries while nudging me to leave my Little Debbie job.
Proverbs 19-21 Many are the plans in a man`s heart, but it is the Lord`s purpose that prevails.
Time is such a precious commodity, the older I get the more I appreciate the wisdom of aging. In just 4 short months I will celebrate my 60th birthday, how did I get to be this old? As I approach this mile stone, it comes with the urgency to fulfill God`s purpose for my life. I believe that quality time spent with God in prayer, in the past three months has strengthened and intensified my relationship with Him. Not to mention, what He`s walked me through with this blog.
How is your prayer life? Do you spend private personal time with Him, do you have an intimate relationship with Him, do you know how much He loves you? Do you know that Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of "your" sins. Do you know that we have a "loving forgiving" God? Please make time for God!
If you`re reading this you will be in my prayers! I wasted so much time, not knowing GOD! The aging lady has spoken! God Bless!!!!!
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayer. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you are in need of prayer, please feel free to leave as a comment, it would be a blessing to prayer for you by name!
