Act 18:9 One night the LORD spoke to Paul in a vision; "Do not be afraid; keep speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city."
The other day when I talked to Jackie, I shared with him the dream that I experienced shortly after mom`s death. Several weeks after mom passed, I had a very vivid dream; she or someone on her behalf came to me as I slept. I didn`t see her, but recall our conversation and sensed her presence. I asked if she was in heaven, she responded, I`m not sure! Maybe heaven has a waiting room!
Mom told me, "that I did everything just right, there is a time and place for everything. She said, that it is just as simple as going into the bathroom, looking in the mirror and reaching for the brush to brush your hair. A time and place for everything and everything in it`s time. You did everything just right, honey."
I did not recall the length of our visit, nor did I remember saying good-bye. When I awoke the following morning, I felt drained and as if I`d been crying, not just a little a lot. My eyes actually ached; however, my heart and soul had an incredible PEACE. I truly believe that I had a mother daughter conversation, what an amazing gift!
Tearfully, I shared my dream with Rick, again I felt peaceful. At the time my step-dad was living with us. He was sitting alone in the living room, and somewhat quiet and distance. I questioned, what is wrong, he said that he had a rough night. With excitement and joy I shared the details of mom`s visit. He somberly told me that mom was laying in bed with him last night! Had mom, or someone on her behalf, visited both of us that night? Then and now eleven years later, I believe so!
Ecclesiate 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.............. also, the word according to mom; a time to brush your hair!
Ecclesiate 3:11-13 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.
Father God, thank you for the visit that brought such peace and prompted me to desire you. Mom, just how long did you have to spend in the waiting room at heaven`s gate? Is there alway a long line to get in? Just kidding!
July is here again, I painfully recall the last 23 days of your earthly life and our good-bye! I long to see your smile and feel your loving embrace. I miss you so! See you at the gate of heaven, I have to go brush my hair....a time to weep and a time to laugh!
AMEN.
