Resting In HIS Love Day 337

For the past 525,600 minutes or 8760 hours or 365 days or 52 weeks or one year, I have found rest in the LORD. 

Matthew 11:28-30  "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my departure from my Little Debbie job, after pondering and praying long and hard, I obeyed and quit my job.  How quickly 525,600 minutes have passed. 

1 Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves, under God`s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

 God loves me!  As the pressures of my job weighed down in defeat, I didn`t worry, I turned to the LORD in prayer.

 5:8-9  Be self-controlled and alert.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.

Satan, had definitely enter the equation, I was speaking and acting in ways that were out of character for the Christian woman I had become. I was tired, warn-out and in need of a break!   

1 Peter 5:10-11  And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.  To him be the power for ever and ever.

Satan was loosing ground while God was taking control of my thoughts and actions.  1 Corinthians 10:13  No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.  And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

After 8760 hours of rest, I am restored, renewed, refreshed, strong, firm and steadfast in the loving arms of the LORD.  As a child, I remember my dad always telling me to "slow down."  It seemed that no matter where I was headed, I was always running, extremely anxious to get where I was going.  Perhaps, 365 days ago my Heavenly Father was telling me the same thing, "slow down."

Ephesians 6:10  Finally, be strong in the LORD and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil`s schemes.

Father God, thank you for this incredible year of rest.  Thank you, for the time that Rick and I have shared together, thank you for his job that he will be returning to on July 18th. Is it time for me to return to work, too? Thank you for the instructions in our finances and necessary adjustments to our lifestyle.  Thank you for this blog and the inner healing I have received.  Father God, thank you for your words that direct my life, and the desire to share with others.

Luke 10:27  He answered: "Love the LORD your God  with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and. "Love your neighbor as yourself

Philippians 4:11-13  I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.  AMEN!
