Tractor Trailer Driver Day 53

At Walmart I met a tractor trailer driver that picks up and hauls bales of cardboard As I`m getting my order ready for delivery he is busy loading bales onto his trailer. We often take time to chat and exchange greetings.

Now the strange thing about him, is that no matter how hot it may be, while I`m roasting, he`s wear a winter coat. Go figure!

Well I couldn't`t take it any longer, I had to question his strange attire choices. He told me that several years ago he was involved in a terrible accident and lost all feeling of any heat in his body and he is ALWAYS cold. That could really come in handy with hot flashes!

After hearing of his accident I handed he a small wooden cross. He assured me that he would hang it in his trucks. Several weeks later, as he was leaving Walmart, with a wet load of cardboard bales; the loaded shifted nearly causing him to loose the entire load. However, something allowed him to gain control and avoid loosing the trailer. He gave credit to God and the small wooden cross.

Today he had another story to share. He was driving down the highway when a driver pulled up beside him, frantically trying to get his attention. Upon stopping he found the bales of cardboard on fire. He was able to get to safety before the the entire trailer was consumed by fire. The tractor was also partially destroyed.

I thank God for the good Samaritan that not doubt saved his life. We joined hands as I prayed and gave thanks and glory to God. God certainly knew what He was doing when He prompted me to share the small wooden cross with my truck driving friend.

John 10:28-29 I gave them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father`s hand.
