Ginger Day 50

It`s been well over 2 months since Ginger suffered her stroke. She is surely improving, but progress is one day at a time. She continues speech therapy 3 days a week. She doesn`t seem to struggle finding each word to carry on a phone conversation.

She is allowed to drive within 10 miles of home. This was somewhat frightening, but she seems to be doing well. She did say, that she came out one day to get in the car, and realized it was raining; she confessed that this was cause for concern, she needed to really think about what else this would involve. Amazing the things we take for granted everyday.

She is also having difficulties in the kitchen. She said that she wanted to make a meatloaf, she put the burger in a bowl and then just didn`t know what to do next. Linda," can you believe, I did not know what to do." I assured her that someone else can take care of the cooking for a while.

I hope to visit with Ginger soon and witness first hand her progress. She is also starting to worry about their finance and what going to happen. That`s a sure indication that the Ginger I`ve know for years is coming back.

As Ginger and I where about to end our conversation with a prayer, my friend Chris arrived at the door. I told Chris that I was just getting ready to pray for Ginger. Chris and I joined hands and prayed as my dear friend Ginger listened. I truly thank God for sending Chris to the door at the perfect moment.

Was that another one of those things that we just take for granted????

Mark 11:24 Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive, and you will have them.
