HEART Day 346

Psalm 26:2-3  Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.

I desire to walk in God`s perfect will for my life, but what part does my heart play in this desire? Proverbs 4:23-25  Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.  Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.  Let your eyes look straight ahead.

Father God, but what about the troubled heart, the hard heart, the cold heart, the lonely heart, the broken heart, the heavy heart, the full heart, and the heart on our sleeves?  Are we to ignore the feelings brought to life by the conditions of our heart?

Ezekiel 36:25-27   I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keeps my laws.

You mean I need a heart-illectomy (I love it when God allows me to make up words and procedures), and you`ll do it for me; all righty then, you`re large and in charge!  Father God, did you start this heart-illectomy once I surrender my life to you?  I thought so!  Ecclesiastes 3:11-12  He has made everything beautiful in its time.  He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.

Lamentations 2:19  Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the LORD.  Lift up your hands to him......Heavenly Father, thank you for our special time together on Saturday morning and  for the tree that so eloquently delivered your message.  I Love you, your daughter, Linda. AMEN.
