Gospel, the "good news", as told by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Matthew tells about Jesus` life, death and resurrection. Mark`s journalistic style accounts Jesus` life during the final weeks. Jesus is portrayed as full of life, emotion and purpose, pursuing that purpose with unswerving passion. Luke presents Jesus as a savior for the entire human race. He emphasizes Jesus` love and compassion for those oppressed by society. Also, he stresses the importance of prayer in Jesus` life. John`s stories include a lot of commentary from Jesus and John. John convinces people to believe in Jesus as God in human form and to "have life" as a result.
Matthew brought us the Lord` Prayer: 6:9-13 "This is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. A little help just in case your not sure how to pray! Wow, I remember when we started each school day with "The Lord`s Prayer."
Mark shares of the loaves and fishes: 6:41-44 Taking the five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to set before the people. He also divided the two fishes among them all. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve baskets of broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of men who had eaten was five thousand. Wow, Jesus!
Luke emphasizes unconditional love in the parable of the lost son: 15: 24 For this son of mine was lost and is found. So they began to celebrate. You are the "best father" my LORD!
From John 3:16 we learn; For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Now back to Matthew for the Greatest Commandment: 22-37:39 Jesus replied: "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it; "Love your neighbor as yourself." In my pea brain opinion, if you get the Greatest Commandment and truly live life to fulfill it, you will live a life of purpose and glory for the Kingdom of God!.

If you have followed this blog for anytime, you have experienced the Gospel of Linda Squier. In the past several years, I shared with the world how Jesus opened the chambers of my heart and soul and showered me with unconditional love and healing. With God`s help, I humbly and often tearfully healed layer by layer;
breaking strongholds and replacing lies with the truth of the Gospel! It has been overwhelming at times to realize that the LORD has used me to proclaim the riches of Jesus Christ! Thank you, Father God!
Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, o LORD, and I will be healed, save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. Jeremiah 29:12-14 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, "declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. John 14:15-1 " If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever---the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Have you received the gift of the Holy Spirit, do you recognize his convictions, teachings, nurturing and counseling, do you hear His voice in the silence of your soul?
Oops, almost forgot one of my favorites----Matthew 4:19 "Come, follow me, Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men! Anybody want to go fishin?????
